The realistic timeline
Every claim is different, but the sequence is consistent. Here's what a typical Colorado Springs hail claim looks like when nothing goes sideways.
- Day 1–3: We inspect, photograph every slope, and tell you whether the damage is claimable.
- Day 3–5: You file with your carrier and get a claim number and an adjuster assignment.
- Week 1–3: Adjuster meeting. We're on the roof with them.
- Week 2–4: Scope and estimate issued; first (ACV) check released.
- Week 3–6: Material selection, HOA submittal if required, permit pulled, install scheduled.
- Install day: One to two days for a typical asphalt roof.
- Week +2–4: Completion package submitted; recoverable depreciation released.
What actually causes delays
After a large regional storm, carriers pull in catastrophe adjusters from out of state and appointment windows stretch. That's the biggest variable and it's outside anyone's control.
The delays we can control are the ones we plan for: HOA color approval in neighborhoods like Flying Horse, Cordera, and Woodmoor can add a week if the packet goes in late, and supplements for code-required items add time if they're discovered after install instead of before.
How we keep it moving
You get a dedicated project manager and daily updates while your job is active. We submit HOA packets the same week the claim is approved, pull Pikes Peak Regional Building Department permits ourselves, and we tarp every night so a roof is never left open to weather.
